Writing
This is my principal activity in life and so there's rather a lot of it littering up the website. At one point I harboured presumptive ambitions about making a living from it, hence a number of pieces which ended up in my university's ill-fated magazine, reproduced here for ease of reading. The essays are almost invariably related to my entirely pointless BA in Writing & Media (the course title later changed to Creative and Media Writing) and are attached to stories written for said course. Illustrated PDFs of some of the longer stories are available to download. Please note that more recent stories can be found on my Livejournal under the "
fiction" tag, or by searching the fiction index page linked to on the side of my journal.
Disclaimer: None of this was written for anything like profit or for any other reason than to amuse, entertain and educate my peers. The characters remain the property of their respective authors/authors' estates/publishers.
As these relate to specific stories written for my course they will be of little use to anyone wanting to skive off their own courses. Sorry. Having said that, one was included in the university's course reader on how to write an acceptable critique/commentary on one's own creative work.
