Images used

The crest is © G. K. Blekkenhorst (aka. Romanticide Jack), a commissioned piece to make up for my woeful lack of design and drawing skills. The icon on the menu is a composite piece - some the background is made up of photographs by other artists, but the foreground image was drawn and coloured by my not-so-good-self. Brushes for the backgrounds on this site and the separating images were made in Photoshop 7.0 from the cover of The Vesuvius Club by Mark Gatiss: if you wish to use them yourself you are more than welcome to, just right click and save as:



      

The bullet image used in the side menus is take from an image of a vine leaf:

CSS

I learnt CSS from a few places, including The CSS Zen Garden and Html Goodies, but the way I found easiest was to simply fiddle with other people's until I got something I liked the look of, deleting and adding commands to see what worked. In order to facilitate this, the CSS file for this website is open for you to download and play with here (I'm certainly not going to get precious and possessive about a few lines of mostly plagiarised code).
